Two Waterloo Region firms get provincial money for expansion

Two Waterloo Region manufacturers are getting provincial money to help them expand and invest in new equipment. Tri-Mach Group Inc. in Elmira is getting $344,000 from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund while Demtool Inc. in Petersburg is getting $316,560, the Ontario government said Wednesday.

Tri-Mach, a manufacturer of sanitary equipment for the food and liquid processing, and pharmaceutical industries, is using the money to expand its plant on Donway Court and adopt automation technology.

Demtool is using the provincial money to expand and consolidate its facilities on Snyder’s Road. The company machines, fabricates and laser cuts components for the agricultural, automotive and food processing sectors
