Besides robotic cells and special purpose machines, TriTed specializes in ultrasonic welding, which involves welding plastic onto plastic. Welding plastic parts onto a plastic bumper is an example. Ultrasonic welding is becoming popular, “and we have many other applications coming for that,” Miro Pantic says.
That was the beginning of TriTed Innovation Inc., a company that provides “complete solutions” to all kinds of industries that need robotics and automation. It employs 20 people in 10,000 square feet of rented space in a building on Shearson Crescent in Cambridge.
