University of Guelph students in food related studies will benefit from a new series of scholarships created through a $3-million gift to the university.
Those pursuing careers in fields such as food engineering and nutrition, agri-business and agricultural economics will be eligible. Seventeen scholarships valued at $14,000 over four years will be offered, along with nine scholarships of $10,000 each for graduate students, and various other offerings.
The recent merger of Guelph Food Technology Centre with NSF International lead to the creation of the GFTC Legacy Fund, which will award nearly 100 undergraduate and graduate scholarships ranging in amount from $2,500 to $14,000 over the next five years
