The CODE appathon, slated for the weekend of February 29th, 2014, will challenge students, technology innovators, developers and Open Data supporters from all across Canada to turn valuable government data into useful and usable apps and information. The 48-hour appathon will pit creative developers against other enthusiasts to create the best application. A panel of judges, including OpenText President & CEO Mark Barrenechea and Minister Clement, will make the final selection.
OpenText introduced AppWorks as part of its Project Red Oxygen launch this week. AppWorks is a developer platform that provides common Enterprise Information Management API, developer tools and resources. AppWorks spans capabilities within and between OpenText’s product suites and third-party applications, providing consistent user experience across desktop, mobile and web devices and is expected to engage and inspire app developers.
