Jung, who took the reins of the CTT in 2008, is a big believer in face-to-face negotiations with overseas companies and regions. Sending a letter, an email or making a phone call won’t suffice. Not in today’s competitive world, he says.
“There are hundreds of thousands of cities around the world they (Chinese investors) could be looking at. Why would they look at your city?”
