Officials with the Grand River Conservation Authority are hiring four contractors to plant 217,400 trees throughout the watershed this spring.

Officials with the Grand River Conservation Authority are hiring four contractors to plant 217,400 trees throughout the watershed this spring.

 

The trees will be planted on both public and private land and forestry staff anticipates sales of an additional 50,000 trees to landowners this spring, while staff and community groups will plant 10,000 to 20,000 trees.

 

The GRCA has planted more than 27 million trees since the 1940s and has been working with landowners since 1954.
